My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Children view the world outside the Mae La Refugee Camp through barbed wire in Mae Sot, Thailand. With over 43,000 people within the walls of the camp, many generations have never seen life outside of the wire fences. Made up of mostly Burmese refugees, they are not allowed back in Burma but are illegal in Thailand so they remain captured in Mae La.
