So this is finally it... I'm about to leave heathrow for Tokyo... managed to sleep in by an hour this morning (luckily I had been so paranoid about everything that might go wrong, I had planned to get up seriously early!!!) And now I can relax in the knowledge... that I am travelling round the world alone for the next 9 months!!! EEECCKK!!! What was I thinking?!? Creepy crawlies... crap accomodation... having to be organised?!? This could be disasterous... or fun!!! Still pretty unsure which way it's gonna go!!! Anyway... I just have to survive a week in Japan... then Australia should hopefully be loads easier!!!
So, I've had conflicting reports on Japan... some say they all speak really good english and are very helpful... others say that noone speaks English and that it's a nightmare!!! As my Japanese consists of well... absolutely nothing (even worse than my Spanish!!) I'm hoping it's the not the latter!!!
Well... I'm off to make my last phone call (I'll miss ya Gem!)... and catch that flight!!! I will update you on my adventures from Tokyo (or attempt to - journals and emails have never been my strong point!!!)
