Catholic soldiers lives with the Muslims and protect them from the terrorists of the area. They live harmoniously yet the culture of violence is still not ceased from Basilan.

Basilan is not a rich province of the Philippines and poverty is rampant. Due to this, even children dive and swim to help their families earn something for their everyday lives.
