Cambodia has a huge variety of housing. Some people literaly sling up a hammock and that is home. Washing and cooking are done outdoors.
I have put up a few photos showing types of housing. Those that can afford it have the modern concrete house - usually with brigh glaring colours.
Of course we ended up with a beautiful new tiled apartment on the 4th floor. Expensive by local standards; but snake, scorpion and rodent proof. However, they will charge us extra if we want to use the lift!
