We arrived in Battmbang Saturday 23 July. A 6 hour bus ride complete with Cambodian TV. Full blast, Karaoke, Action monk movies and tragic love song videos. Unbeatable entertainment. Overall a good bus ride; as long as you like to stop a lot; chat, yell out to your friends and take a quick comfort stop. All for the driver of course.
Our arrival was complete with the full furry of the wet season. So we and very wet luggage arrived at the hotel. Then the sun came out and we went for a swim in their gorgeous pool.
Next day we explored the town. It has the faded town of a colonial (French) outpost. All the essentials - swimming pools, gym, market selling eels and mice, cafes and so on.
Now to start work....
