There is a French photographer, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, who takes these amazing ariel shots all across the planet. He has had an exhibit of thousands of photos, Earth From Above, since 2000 that has traveled around the world. I walked through it many times at the Natural History Museum in London in 2003, and then happily stumbled across it again six years later here in Perth. Some of the photos are just insane and usually have an environmental focus. Here in Perth, each photo was accompanied by an environmental fact. My photos of photos are not nearly as awe-inspiring, but you get the gist. (In the "Perth" gallery.)

Leah took Logan and I to see them when we visited her in London. It was amazing--and free.
