Building Scapes
Worldwide | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos
The world has been set on frames, creating its own set of portfolios and picturesques -- that's how I've always viewed my environment that I tend to see it in "scapes."
I've always enjoyed taking photographs for that one reason. But more than that, I feel this sense of urgency to share with anyone that one glimpse of picturesque the world has made for us to see. Not everyone will be given that one moment to see such scenery or experience that moment. It's that sense of necessity to document that moment and show everyone "Hey, this is the world you're living right now."
To be chosen as a World Nomad Scholar and shoot the scapes of Greenland will mean not only the chance of a lifetime to experience Greenland but also document that Arctic beauty. The world is fast-changing from natural changes and I would love to tell the world that at one point, this scenery existed -- that rare opportunity to actually set foot in those snowy mountains and seeing how it has nurtured life in its own ways.
It is the greatest honor to see history unfold in this humble eyes of a scape photographer.
