Trat

So, we left Bangkok yesterday at 8AM, and took a Mini-bus to Trat. Trat is known to be a small fishing town, where many travelers just come for a night and then go off to nearby islands or cambodia. We decided we'd like to stay here a couple days just to relax and unwind, and it's really cheap! As soon as we got here I had a good feeling, you can tell it's small just from driving from one end of town to the other, takes no time. - And the buildings are all old =) - Also everyone on the streets is super friendly and wants to help you! Everyone smiles and says hello like they know you=)

We checked into a guesthouse suggested to us by our travel book, again, really nice people running it. Our bungalow is only $3 each a night! and our dinner was delicious and cheap too! - I got a small water, a small beer, and veggies and noodles fried in black bean sauce for $3!!!

We went to the night market after dinner, happens everynight. Good colours and smells and cheap nicknacks. I indulged in another Thai pan-cake. - The doh is like rotti, - This time I got banana and chocolate sauce, topped with condensed milk and sugar. OH MY GOD.

this morning I got up early and went for breakfast by myself, was greeted by a very friendly older Thai lady in her little restaurant and had a yummy eggs, toast and coffee there.

I really, really love it here. It might seem borring to some people, but that's sort of what I like, it is so quiet and calm. There is a lake here that I want to walk to today...

Anyways, here for a couple days, then cambodia...

It doesn't seem boring at all, Landon. It certainly appeals to me. I'm glad you keep up your blog so regularly....I look for it every morning...
How do you find the coffee? Remember I was telling you how hard it was for me to find a good cup of coffee?
Hope things are going well with you guys. Looking forward to more of your adventures....
Love, xoxox

I've only had two cups, and it has been bitter, but it still did the trick! hehe im not a big coffee person though, so I don't notice too much.
