Day or night, the streets of Durbar Square become extremely alive. A young boy selling cotton candy during the festivities finds a viewing point to better spot potential customers.

This very important event in Hindu culture is also known as Deepawali or the festival of lights. Streets will be lit up by thousands of small lights and candles.

The third day of Tihar is for the worship of cattle. A businessman feeds and decorates one of the venerated cows, free roaming in the alleyway. The festival will last 5 days.¬
