My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My greatest experience of photography was shooting in Nepal where I worked as a volunteer photographer for a social organization designed at employing women who were disadvantaged and disabled. I have traveled through South East Asia three times; photography and volunteer aid work being my prime motivations. I have journeyed through Jordan, the West Bank of Palestine and Israel photographing the demolition and displacement of Palestinian refugees and I have lived and photographed in Nepal at the beginning of 2012.
My ambition is to become a freelance war photojournalist. This will enable me to capture the horrors of humanity in order to bring an end to international crisis. I am applying for the 2013 scholarship in order to progress my photographic skill and to gain insights into the lifestyle and work of a photojournalist.
Photography is more than a future job or career; it is my passion and has become a part of my life so much that to be granted the opportunity of this scholarship would only better equip me with the tools to become a real photojournalist.
