A young girl breaks firewood in a small slum in the Kathmandu Region, Nepal. Surprised to look up and notice me taking her picture she laughs in embarrassment and utters secrets to her girlfriends.

A woman sits in here plastic house in the slums of Kathmandu, Nepal. She houses and cares for her entire family under plastic tarpaulins and cooks with old and rusted utensils. However during my visit through Nepal I did not meet people who were genuinely happier than these families within the slums.

An elderly woman who has been financially supported by EPSA (Entire Power for Social Action) in Nepal poses for a photo in the streets of Kathmandu. This poor woman lives alone with no protection or security and continues to work and labour in order to survive.
