Rocket Festival, Vientiane, Laos. Under the unforgiving sun, hundreds of homemade rockets are launched into the air to mark the end of the dry season. Situating myself amongst the growing crowd, I was able to find a spot in which the trajectory of the rocket was aligned with the mid-day sun, unifying the two as one.

Vegetarian Festival, Phuket, Thailand. Taken back by the amazement and shock of what is the Annual Phuket Vegetarian Festival, I began to see an exclusive opportunity unfold in front of me. Through the focal point, I aimed to capture the self-mutilated Man and his journey through the chaotic and hasty environment, as he makes his pilgrimage from one Taoist temple to another, a ritual that aims to invoke the Gods.

Tigers in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand. In the cage of four Indochinese Tigers, I lay down to capture one of the cubs basking in the humid winter afternoon. The contrast in lighting augments the lethargic atmosphere, whilst the focal point portrays the Tigers’ vulnerability.
