South Icelandic farms appear uninhabited, giving one the feeling that "someone had been there, but no more". As if the farms, once full of life, are now being maintained by ghosts. However, the livestock dotting the landscape indicate that human life is there, even if it is rarely seen. In this photo, it is nearly 10 pm and the eternal summer sun is casting an ethereal glow onto a stream as sheep drink.
