Hatcher Pass, Alaska

Overgrown Stairway: Alaska, September 2011: Fireweed overtakes a well worn stairway on Fishhook Road, across from the abandoned Motherload Lodge in the Talkeetna Mountains outside Palmer, AK. Nearby a trail follows the Little Susitna river deep into Hatcher Pass giving access to the few remaining glaciers that long ago covered the area.
