My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

For the world outside my own I have always shared an enormous interest.

As a child I explored the world around me by knocking on strangers doors, introducing myself as they opened and asking them to let me in so we would get to know each other. I loved that and still do. And although I no longer knock op people’s doors I am as curious as I was then. Cultures, landscapes, people and the food all are out there to meet and experience.

All the journeys I have made in the past 20 years taught me about life, made me grateful and at times humble.

Those travels also learned me to observe very closely and with a camera in my hand I discovered the passion for photography. People are my soft spot though and I always try my best to encounter interesting people I can photograph. When you have taken that one shot that is spot on you know it! That’s extremely fulfilling. A gift and better memory there is not.

I hope my images bring across a bit of that magic I love so much when I travel and I am given the opportunity to do the same in the colorful country of the Sultanate of Oman.
