Round The World Adventures "The rewards of the journey far outweigh the risk of leaving the harbour"

The journey begins

Hi All

For those that don't know I've just started another one of my epic
round -the-world trips for six months. I'll be emailing regular
updates when I can.
This first email is just to say I arrived safely in Johannesburg after
a crappy 27 hour journey from Perth! Ahhh....the joys of travelling.
I had to fly Perth-Sydney 'rules of the airfare' (12.15am Thurs nite)
6 hrs in Sydney after flt delayed 2 hrs then 14 hr flt to Jo'burg. My
airport transfer was waiting so that was a good start to the trip.
Needless to say I crashed out last night about 9.30pm (3.30am Perth time!)
Met 4 Aussie pax off my trip already (tho' they jump off in Vic
Falls), and walked to a mini shopping centre with 2 of the girls this
morning. Pretty affluent suburb so very safe for walking around.
Most properties are behind big high walls with electrified fences on
the top.
Just chilling out by the hotel pool for rest of day.
Pre-trip meeting at 6pm then we leave on tour tomorrow morning. Can't
wait!
Till next time....

Jules
