My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

New Zealand | Sunday, December 30, 2012 | 5 photos

My name is Kirsten Major. I am 22 years old and have spent my entire life living in the Northern Territory of Australia. For the past 7 years I have lived in Alice Springs and while there is a lot about myself I could tell you it’s the heart and soul which is what matters and is truly important and it is this very element I try to capture in my photos. I don’t always succeed and I know that but I am always striving to learn how to capture what is important and what will make people feel the most and connect with my photos as they would with myself. I love photography; it has been a passion of mine since grade 10 when I first took an interest in it. I have for many years now been searching for that soul and heart, for that one thing others cannot see nor feel. I don’t get the chance to travel much but I always make the most of my time away from home and my time at home and I do this by hunting down those area’s and people who can make me feel and by sharing my stories not only verbally but also visually. I have brought smiles and warmth to my friends, family and their friends through my camera. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I want to thank-you for that.

About kirstenmmajor

I stood before the very first Hobbit whole upon entering the Shire and was overjoyed by the detail and natural wildlife surrounding the cosy yet petite built in home.
