My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I had not intended on making the distant beehives blurred however that’s how it turned out and I am very pleased with the affect as I am drawn to the wonder of the flowers before the hive as they are entwined around the fence as if they are trying to keep me from getting the honey that lies beyond. Which was fine by me, as I am no fan of bee’s and their sting.

Again New Zealand surprised me with its vibrant greens and at the Hobbit set it was only enhanced by the range of wildlife growing around the hills. The pale fence was brought to life with an array of native flowers and plant life working on awing my senses. I especially love how the purple flowers distract from the green adding more depth and variety to the garden.

Upon standing on a hill I was able to look down among the Shire and view those hidden chimneys where I could see both life and death among the wildlife. To me the blurred plant life tries to shun the grey withering tree, so my eyes are drawn to the more simple less vibrant beauty of the land.
