Knowing how to approach sensitive situations, develop meaningful cross cultural exchanges and construct a coherent narrative are skills I believe are best learnt in the field - preferably with expert guidance. It is for these reasons I would be most keen to be considered for this opportunity.

Further, I would hope to develop my understanding of what makes a photograph successful in the context of travel/ reportage photography, in order to improve both my image making, and guide my editing process.

I aim to create images that engage, inspire and educate the viewer, and believe that photography is currently the most powerful medium in which to do so.

I am an independent traveler with a desire to experience all the world has to offer, to challenge my fears and perceptions, to grow and help others grow.
