lost and found in Italy

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Italy | Friday, December 7, 2012 | 5 photos

I have always told people that I will go to college for the realistic job but my dream job would be taking photographs for National Geographic. Well, I graduated and now find myself lost. I am working hard for the realistic job, however, its when I am traveling and taking pictures that I feel truly happy. I have no real photography training. I am self taught, or you could say as amatuear as they come, but I want to share the stories I see. This scholarship would be the most incredible opportunity for me to make a dream a reality and learn from an incredible story teller. I am truly blessed to have a boyfriend that understands my photography obsession and gave me my first DSLR last year. It is a beautiful Canon Rebel T2i and the shutter hasn't stopped sense I picked it up. Actually I cried when I opened it. Before that I was using the Canon S90, which I still love. I have looked through National Geographic magazines for years imagining myself taking those pictures, seeing the animals and people around the world, and then sharing it with all those who could not be there with me. I want my pictures to help people feel those moments. I have the drive, energy and enthusiasm for this.

About kfrazi

When I arrived back in the States everyone asked what my favorite place in Italy was. I always answered all of them, of course, but I do think Capri took my heart. The landscape itself is incredible and their is too much color to not be in a terrific mood! I will definitely make my way back to Capri someday and next time I will be in one of these boats making my way around the island. I found my sense of adventure here.
