    This photograph was the moment that it hit me. I was actually in Italy, standing in front of the Colosseum. I did it. I was seeing, touching, feeling history. Looking at a piece of art that seems impossible for its age. It was an ugly day in Rome that day. Torrential downpours every few minutes. However, this made the photos come out awesome and you can really feel the story behind this masterpiece. Views[309] I think I bought a piece of artwork from a street artist in every city I visited but it was this man in Florence who caught my eye and ear. I sat and listened to his stories of travel for only a short thirty minutes, but five watercolors later, that I then bought, I left him with an urge to see more of this world. I left the states feeling a little lost with who I was and where I wanted to go in life. When I returned I realized I wasn't lost I just have a need to see more. A need to travel and learn from others. And of course photograph everything I see so that the stories can be better understood when I tell them. Views[364] My cousin was my travel companion on this dream trip to Italy. We always said we would go one day and decided after we graduated from college that we would treat ourselves to Italy. One thing Italy taught me was to enjoy a good wine.....and that we did. I arrived in Italy never having had a glass of wine to returning to the States with four bottles! Views[438] When I arrived back in the States everyone asked what my favorite place in Italy was. I always answered all of them, of course, but I do think Capri took my heart. The landscape itself is incredible and their is too much color to not be in a terrific mood! I will definitely make my way back to Capri someday and next time I will be in one of these boats making my way around the island. I found my sense of adventure here. Views[349] On our way to find some food after a wine tasting in Chianti we came across a piazza full of amazing Italian cars. We decided this would be a fun place to eat and gawked as the owners sat in the cars for about an hour before all taking off in a parade out of the piazza. We loved just watching the Italians interact with one another. They enjoy showing off what they have....as well as drinking, eating, and kissing. Views[268]

    When I arrived back in the States everyone asked what my favorite place in Italy was. I always answered all of them, of course, but I do think Capri took my heart. The landscape itself is incredible and their is too much color to not be in a terrific mood! I will definitely make my way back to Capri someday and next time I will be in one of these boats making my way around the island. I found my sense of adventure here.
