When I was a little girl, my best friend and I would sit in the library for hours at a time reading Steve Parish books, dreaming of the future we had planned to spend together, traveling the world and taking amazing photos of things people had never seen before. I've long since moved away and lost contact with her, but there is one thing I did not lose: My passion to leave a lasting impression on this world. I want to convey to people the beauty and inspiration that I can find even in the darkest of places. This is what I want to live for. I couldn't think of any better way to do this than to take photographs. And I could think of no better opportunity than this to get me started. I can’t sit back and let it slip by.
