My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Australia | Thursday, January 10, 2013 | 5 photos

I am a self-confessed obsessed paddling plumber who ventures onto Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin. I began paddling as a way to rebuild both my body and mind after an intensive three-month bout of chemotherapy due to testicular cancer. I started posting shots to Facebook and soon after I had an offer from The Canberra Times online paper.

I am not a professional, nor even semi professional photographer as all of my shots have been taken using a Canon PowerShot D20. None of my photos are digitally enhanced (probably due to my inability to use photoshop) I do not own a DSLR camera. Everything is shot on auto as I am raw(sorry about the pun)in regards to manual shooting.
Put simply, the chance to travel to Oman and be mentored by Jason Edwards would be mind blowing as my journey so far has been self-propelled. This is an opportunity and an experience of a lifetime. I have no doubt my photographic knowledge and skills would be greatly enhanced during this adventure.
With hope, I look forward to hear back from you.
