My Scholarship entry - 'A place I have visited'

As an architect student I was always drawn by beautiful things. The space around us and the buidlings telling their history, the emotions I draw on a piece of paper, the moment I capture with photography... Perhaps I love photography the most. Everywhere I go, I can take the camera with me and make memories of places, things, people, moments in time. I could tell a million stories with a single photo or I could make the viewer ask himself a million of questions. What I like about photography it is it's diversity. The photo can be happy or sad, inspirational or depressing, confusing or straightforward. It can be in color or black and white, intimate or public, it can hold thousands of feelings or none at all. This gives me the ability to express everything around me through photography. And that is what I hope to learn with this scholarship – how to capture the life and space around me and share it with the rest of the world.
I took a trip to this old mill a couple of weeks ago. I liked the people because they have to work hard every day but still remain very optimistic. I learned so much from them and I hope one day their wish will come true and the mill will be reopened.
