Photography is an exciting medium where the only limitation is your imagination. National Geographic was the inspiration that started my photographic journey; bringing visual stories home from around the world is my ultimate aspiration. As a recent Photographic Arts graduate the infinite learning curve and lack of creative boundaries of photography fascinates me. There is so much more for me to learn and I passionately believe that I would benefit greatly from this opportunity. I enjoy writing about photography and the impact that it has on culture; my dissertation was about the power and dissemination of the photographic image. Photography is an integral part my life but I am a work in progress; I am seeking to expand upon my skills and want to explore more of the planet. I love to travel; whether it is trekking up a mountain, through a desert, hostelling or inter-railing. I think it is vitally important to see and learn as much of the world, its diverse cultures and landscapes as you can. I feel it is fundamental in making you a well-rounded person; it gives me balance in life and, most importantly, makes me happy.
