Arriving to Seoul

SOUTH KOREA | Sunday, 20 November 2011 | Views [362]

So. Korea! The South one. I've read somewhere that Seoul's airport is one of the best airports in the world. Easily believe it, it's all white and clean and modern, and there are huge touch screens where you can see all the information about the airport, transport, shopping, etc. Next. There's no GSM in Korea so you cannot use your actual phone. But! They rent mobile phones! Seriously. So you pay 3,000 won(around 3 dollars) per day and here you are! The calls and messages are cheap so think about the rent only. They literally give you the phone (and take credit card details of course) and on your way back you are returning the phone with the paynment. Geniously.

Then there's a very convenient bus to the city center for 10,000 won. The view is marvelouse. Beautiful fields, river, huge red bridge and mountains behind. Then I arrive to the station where I suppose to call a hostel guy who should pick me up. I call. They say something in Korean (which I don't understand of course). So I'm staying on the station, the wind is horrible, and I don't know where to go. Found a map, which is hard to understand, people don't get me or don't know the road. So I'm trying to go some way which seems right and then decide to call one last time. And it works! He picks up and syas that he'll be there in a minute. I wait on the sunny side and we are finally in a car, going to our nice nice hostel.

I have a korean phone now, free wi-fi, Lonely Planet guide book (which I finally bought in the airport)  sooo...I'm oficially ready to rock :))

Meeting Yoon in 2 hours, haven't seen my girl for almost 4 years!!! Can't wait :))
