This spirit is abundant in Hawaii's culture; the luau dance, which honours life in its entirety from the joy to the suffering, encapsulates this beautiful spirit and highlights the bond of human and nature, of life and death.

A spirit that focuses on the natural element, rather than the human element; in cohesion, rather than showing how humans impact nature, this shows how nature impacts humans. If focus is directed towards the background elements of the photo, surfers silhouettes are shown waiting for the perfect wave; for hours they sit waiting to be granted that one flawless entity that permits them the freedom to walk on water; the nightfall--the kiss of the sun on the mountains, the caress of the waves on the rocky shore--highlights the perfect timing for this perfect event.
