Even people with disabilities show their mourning and support to the tradition. Their physical condition is not an issue for them to participate. They treasure the event because it is unique to just few Islamic countries with a great number of Shia Muslim community.

The 10th day of Muharram is a showcase of Shia Muslim's mourning of the death of their martyr Imam Husayn. They chant Haider! as they parade with sword and with blood flowing profusely from voluntarily wounding themselves. The sight is not for the faint of heart.

Shia Muslim kids were already taught about the tradition at a very young age. They participate during the reenactment of the suffering and death of Husayn as part of the parade and were just given lightweight chains so as not to hurt themselves. Years will go on and the tradition will be passed on to generations to come.
