Be a student... Always try to be better today than what you were yesterday. Small improvements, if compounded daily will yield to something big down the line
My Scholarship Entry 2012 - Discovering Muharram

In one word, I am a student. Yes, from the time I held my 1st SLR film camera 6 years ago, I never got tired of studying the art. I always want to make sure that I am better today than what I was yesterday. Small improvements when compounded daily would yield to something big down the line.
I entered the competition hoping to win the top prize as it will inch me closer to my dreams. I can just imagine how huge the scholarship would be to me. First, the gears. The package will surely be a jump from the manual focus vintage SLR film cameras that I am currently using. I can have better compositions specially on field where most of the subjects are perpetually moving. Next, the actual experience of being on field with a National Geographic veteran. Wow, who wouldn't want to learn hands on with a NatGeo photographer?
If I get the top prize, I would like to capitalize on the learning I'll get from the scholarship and take my photography to a higher level. I plan to revive the website that I created 4 years ago and start touring my home country, the Philippines, and capture all the beautiful places the NatGeo way so I can help promote Tourism in our country for all the world to enjoy.
