Sauna house is important in Hiiumaa. It is the cultic place, children were born there, it was the therapy and medical spot. Bride and groom was taken to sauna by the tradition and juniper was burnt as the first wood. Sauna is still the full day program here, a holy place. Songs were done for sauna and special words had to been said when water was dipped to the hot stones.
