    Crossing the Attabad Lake to get home. In January 2010, a huge landslide in Attabad village (the Gojal Valley, north Pakistan) created a natural dam for the Hunza River what resulted in forming an extensive lake. Present, the landscape is breathtaking – turquoise surface enclosed within steep, cut through by narrow waterfall hillsides with appearing here and there flooded green oasis. However this beautiful phenomena is linked to a human tragedy. Those who wants to reach upper part of rescued villages have to travel there by boats. You won’t find the delight by the beauty on their faces. They still remember that their former houses are under this water. Pakistani government did nothing to help them. Who cares for the people from the lost paradise? by: justice Views[1101] The catchword at the end of the Attabad Lake. KNM (Karakorum National Movement) - an organization struggling for the independency of Karakorum. Their aim is to cut off from the rest of Pakistan. Residents of this area differ from the rest of Pakistani in origin, language and appearance. They are tired of existence under the rule of the corrupt Pakistani government. Maybe an utopian motto, but still beautiful – is this what you expected to hear in this part of the world? by: justice Views[602] Happy girls coming back from school in Karimabad. An access to education for girls is strongly limited by Taliban. How brave can be Pakistani girls and how big price they have to pay for it shows Malala Yousafzai's case. As an 11-years old girl she started to fight for the right to education for Pakistani girls. Three years later she was shot in her head by Taliban – it was their sentence. Luckily she survived. This case made all Pakistani people stronger in their fight against female illiteracy. How much would you sacrifice to have the right to go to school? by: justice Views[1808] The meat trader showing the statuette of Themis - Greek Goddess of Justice, which is deprived of her attributes - a scales and a sword, is asking how much he can get for it. Pakistan – the country of a very bad fame. Many believes, that each of a Pakistan citizen is a potential terrorist. Although none will say it aloud, still it's very difficult for Pakistani to get permission to enter any western country. Whereas they are the same as the most of the people in the world – they dream of living in peace. And every single day they have to cope with poverty and, what is worse – with a threat from a domestic religious extremists. Justice, where are your scales? by: justice Views[750]
