Sun. July 15th. I woke up, dressed, and packed my bag! All of the girls gathered to eat some free (key word: FREE!) breakfast downstairs. After we ate, we put our luggage into the storage room so we could head out to the square. This time only four of us went out, Kati, Alex, Elle, and me! Our first stop was the Chocolate Museum. If you know anything about me, you know how much I LOVE chocolate! Even though chocoalte is a staple in my diet, this museum was not worht the $8 we paid to get in. Most of the stuff we looked at was tea cups, saucers, and pots. There were three floors or random stuff that didn't really go with chocolate. Only one floor had stuff about chocolate. On the positive side, we did get to eat a couple piece (3) of chocolate chips.
After the museum we found ourselves just wandering, looking at stores and just shopping around. We probably went into a dozen different chocolate stores looking at prices, trying to find the best deal. We finally worked our way out of the really expensive chocolates and found some reasonable priced one where the shop owner was actually nice to us. She offered to let us try the truffles and some other chocolates...which were amazing. So all of us bought our chocolates from her. The store was called Chocoloterie Roose, authentic Belgium chocolates....yummy!
We ended up having lunch at middle eastern resturant, it was pretty good. The man who owned the store came and talked to us for a little while when we were waiting for our food. He also owned a Moracan resturant that was two doors down. He invited us to have tea at the Moracan place for free... we took him up on his offer. We ended up having Moraccan tea and champagn. Both were really good! After that long excursion we decided to walk around a little more. After a while we decided to go have one last cherry beer before leaving Belgium. While walking we saw our tour guide and one of the other guys in the group, so we all went for that last cherry beer. It was really good! (The perfect end to a great trip.)
After our beer we went back to the hotel, grabbed our stuff and headed to the EuroStar... back to London we go!
