Sat, June 23. Today was the first day we could actually sleep in!!!! yay! So all of the roomies stayed in bed until 10:30/11am and we didn't even go out. It was so nice to catch up on our sleep. Once we finally got up going, we decided to make our way down to the Portabella Market. This market was really interesting because the majority of the things being sold were antiques. We found some tea cups that were made between 1800 and 1805 that were beautiful. We also found some really pretty jewelery; a single diamond ring from the Victorian age (about 100-200yrs old), but it was 750 pounds, meaning $1500!!!
After the market Alex and I walked around High Kensington Street and found ourselves in some interesting shops. There is a store called Nuts about Life and they let us try all the different types of nuts in the shop!! They were all really good, and we felt so bad that we ate so many... so we ended up buying more than we planned on. They were atually pretty reasonably priced.
After our walk we decided to take on the bus system again. This time we figured it out and did very well!! We made it home and Kati and I cooked dinner and Alex did clean up (our normal routine).
