I met my boss (ok ex-boss) Wei for a late dinner last night and we wondered around this upscale neighborhood near a lake near my hostel. We eventually settled on a restaurant outside the region and had a feast. Thanks Wei!
Today I went to the Great wall and did a 4 hour hike along the wall. It was hard work going up and down but was amazing. It truly is a great wall. One wonders though, why the mountains themselves were not enough of a defense against the mongols. For some reason, I kept picturing a hypothetical monty python (or mel brooks) routine where the invading army's are foiled for lack of a ticket, and have to turn back.
Anyway, I am tired so not going to write much today.
