    There was a stillness surrounding this Moroccan man as he sat quietly reading from his Qur’an. Beside him rose the unfinished sandstone columns and Hassan Tower minaret, which was intended to be part of the World’s largest mosque in the Moroccan Capital, Rabat. Throughout Morocco there was a strong presence of religious faith. by: joymelchiori Views[764] Dressed in his traditional Moroccan dress, a djellaba, this man walks through the maze of predominately blue and white alleyways that make up the Mountain town of Chefchaouen, a popular tourist destination in Morocco. The locals go about their business as though the thousands of tourists do not exist. by: joymelchiori Views[1688] It is not uncommon to see beggars on street corners in Morocco. This particular Moroccan Beggar, dressed in a weathered old suit, had a quiet dignity about him. He was aware of my presence yet did not ask for anything. “Allah Yasahel” – May God improve your situation. by: joymelchiori Views[2361] A regular sight along the streets and towns of Morocco are men and their donkeys. In his white flowing djellaba, this Moroccan man rides sidesaddle along the road near the dessert town of Rissani. Donkeys are also regularly used to haul carts and carry supplies. by: joymelchiori Views[937] This Moroccan fisherman walks along the street in the Medina quarter (old city section) of the seaside village of Essaouira.
