Aotearoa close-up

New Zealand | Sunday, June 16, 2013 | 5 photos

Through more than seven years of volunteering and studying biology I have seen many remote and unexpected places with breath-taking natural scenery and wildlife. Doing work in conservation and showing the world how beautiful yet fragile it is, are my greatest passions. The best way for me to do this is to find creative ways to capture the wildlife and scenery I work with on camera.
Improving my skills as a wildlife photographer may give me the experience and knowledge I need to really show off nature's beauty to people around the world. I hope to touch people's hearts with my photos and get them as passioned about, and involved in conservation as I am.
I am a true field biologist and will take any opportunity to go out to remote and special places, but I also see beauty in common, everyday things. This opportunity to travel through Greenland with Jason will help me become a better photographer as well as a better conservation biologist.
People need to see the beauty in this world, and I want to show it to them.

About jordi

The Koru (fern) is New Zealand's national symbol and stands for new life, growth, peace and strength. During a hike through the beautiful Marlborough Sounds I came across this unfurrled fern being beautifully backlit by the sun. For me this photo captures and symbolizes all my adventures in this amazing country.
