Aotearoa close-up

Lake Wanaka on New Zealand's South island is a place that shows how everything in nature is connected. The run-off water from alpine mountains collects in the lakes, which feed more rivers and streams to send nutrients down from the top (the mountains), throught the forests, and down to the bottom (the ocean). Here a lonely tree and hang-out for some cormorants stands proud with a mountain back-drop.
