We got back to Naga and called our
friends Ferdinand and Carol (the ones we met at the hot springs).
They were to pick us up at 7 to go for dinner. We spent a lovely
evening with them, we tried some local Bicol dishes and had some
great conversations.
After dinner, we went to Ferds' studio and he
showed us some of his film and music projects. He wrote a musical
that was performed off Broadway called “Something to Crow about”
which was very good and really funny. It's about cock fighting which
is very big here. One of the songs was sung by a wife annoyed that
her husband overly preoccupied with his cock and that he was always
stroking it. Apparently this went down very well in the US. We'll
have to go and see it if it comes to Japan.
