I like Bruges.
Sorry that was a mistake. I love Bruges! It was love at first sight.
Passing Ghent on the way in, had me worrying what Bruges would be like. Ghent seemed very gothic - almost too gothic to be comfortable in. Bruges, on the other hand, despite having the same concentration of ancient buildings, is simply beautiful. It is so photogenic that it is hard to put the camera down. Dad's camera ran out of battery in our first few hours in Bruges!
As with most cities I love, there's good food to eat. I have been stuffing my face with all Belgian food - waffles, chocolates, cheese, sausages, beer, frites etc. Tonight, it'll be mussels and I can't wait. Yum!
