Made it to Prague Janet. Altho my photos didn't work today so have to retake some. Shouldn't have changed my card over, oh well! Walked over the Charles Bridge and back. Tomorrow will do the Palace area. Staying out of the centre a bit so catching interesting public transport. Lots of beer, restaurants and music. I think alot of eating, drinking and merriment goes on here. Apart from the amazing architecture it has a poorer feeling here. Seeing beggers again and we just walked through a pretty little park and realised we were walking past out of it people and 2 guys sitting there with a container of sharps in front of them. Not all pretty!
After 2 full on days of sight seeing having a restish one today. Did the castle area yesterday which took most of the day. I particularly liked the Golden Lane. Am over the art and dungeons stuff though. I seem to have reached saturation point on that kind of stuff. It is probably my short attention span. John does slightly better.
We did have goulash and dumplings and JOhn bravely did the haggus in Scotland... They insist on serving buckets of beer here. I have asked for small a few times and usually get a large anyway. Even JOhn has started to downsize! The schooner type size is far more manageable. Note to self for next trip, learn the word for small!! Who'd have thought I'd need that one!
Off to Crete tomorrow via Athens. Onwards and upwards to Oozo... Looking forward to catching up with my friend Monica.
