Robin Hood

We had a pleasant morning in Glasgow, well thats when we managed to get in there. Wierdly we somehow did a uturn right back out again! Loved the Dr Who boxes and the modern art gallery, partic the building.

Drove to Ripon for the night, a cute little Yorkshire Village and then tackled York the next morning. Brief visit there as parking and driving was horrendously difficult there.

On to my Aunt in Nottingham. Nice to catch up with her and with 1 of my cousins and his family. Hadn't seen them for 16 years. Had to visit Nottingham Castle and Robin Hood. There is a new series coming out soon. I'm not sure old Robin fares well in it. Went to the oldest pub in England, trip to Jerusalem (sp?).

HAD To get up at 3.30am for a bus to Heathrow. A guy started throwing up in the tiolets on it b4 we even started. I think he had decided to stay up and drink. I was nearly by the end due to motion sickness and the early start. But we got to Stockholm smoothly yesterday afternoon. So far so good!

Forgot where to add comments! I know, I am very suprised we were disappointed in Scotland. We obviously didnät experience it like other people have. Found the people glum and got sick of the UHT milk and the horrible microwaved bacon. I think it wasn't a honeymoon destination and we are not fond of car touring. Wondering if the recession has made a difference too. People in the UK have been hit hard by it. Anyway in Sweden now and liking it. We'll have a bit of time to relax which we haven't so far. We are staying on a boat which is a bit cramped partic if you are over 6ft. About to tackle the shower. Moving accom for the next 4 nights.

I know very little about Sweden, except for blondes, ABBA and Ikea. I imagine this leg of the trip will involve lots of furniture shopping while the song Fernando plays relentlessly. At least all the service staff will be beautiful blondes…

that sounds like some kind of nordic hell Janet!!! I'll just settle for hoping you enjoy Sweden more than Scotland. Looking forward to hearing your impressions of Prague.
