Thur 19th  November

Smith's Beach, Yallingup

The weather is still inclement but we have promised ourselves a slap up restaurant meal to celebrate being in the Margaret River region.  The locals have given us a few recommendations but we found a fab cafe on a beautiful little beach called Bunker Bay.  The service was underwhelming but the food and views were outstanding.

Earlier we visited the Cape Leewin  lighthouse 4 km hike around the headland – it was supposed to be only 2 kms but we took a wrong turn.

After lunch we went looking for the famous Margaret River Chocolate Factory.  After a few wrong turns we finally found it - definitely worth the effort.

To celebrate our final night in the apartment we settled into a hot spa with candles and incense – all the trimmings.  It's been great to hide from the rain and pestilence in our apartment but we’re itching to get back to the bush.
