We really are camping!

We really are camping!

Wednesday 11th November

Dwellingup, Lane Poole Reserve W.A.

We booked our pick up time for the 4x4 at 8:00am. It took longer than expected to collect the beast – three and a half hours!! Evidently they're not known for their speed of service out west. WA aka Wait Awhile

Finally made it out of the yard then off to Woolies to collect the provisions for the trip – yes we really will be camping – no TV, no room service, no turn down service, no breakfast buffets, no clean sheets every day, no ice delivered to the room for the call to cocktails – ARE WE MAD??

After saying our final goodbyes we were ready to hit the road. A 2 hour drive to a little town called Dwellingup. Then we found a bush camping site has what we call the Big 3 - set on the side of a river it has fire pit to cook on and a luxurious drop toilet 100 metres away. Water, fire and a toilet - perfect!

We set up camp and then cooked BBQ chops for dinner. Of course we still adhere to the call to cocktails and had a nice crisp Chardonnay with dinner. Climbed into our fluffy bed and slept like babies.
