Venicia
Early
start to get the train to Milano and then onto Venizia. All went well
until about 30 minutes from Milano when the train stopped. Evidently
there was a train crash near Milano Central last night. Milano to
Venizia has been delayed as well, and we're now back on schedule,
althoughone hour delayed. We have a 2 hour window of opportunity to
get onto the boat before it sails from Venizia so we're hoping that
there will be no further delays.
OOPS-more
delays. The latest time for embarkation was 4:00pm – we arrived in
a speeding taxi, shouting “Avanti! Avanti!” at 3:50pm – a
little frazzled but we made it on board. Nothing a stiff drink on
arrival didn't take care of
The
MSC Armonia will be our home for next week. We're looking forward to
unpacking our bags and taking a bit of time to chill out after our
frantic past weeks. We were escorted to our suite and to our delight
it was much larger than expected with a terrific balcony and full
bath. Happy little vegimites are we.
