Stuttgart
We are presently racing across the German landscape in a ICE high speed train bound for Stuttgart, then onto Eislengen to stay with Gert and Norbert for a few days.
We decided to travel in Germany and Italy on a 1st class Eurail ticket. So far all has well. We continue to marvel at German efficiency. The high speed train left exactly on time. We have very comfortable seats and the view outside is stunning. Beautiful little German hamlets and villages flash past in a sea of green pastures and dark forests. It's also drizzling outside which adds to the romance of the journey.
Just ordered lunch which will be served to us in our carriage – we love this!
When we arrived the beautiful Norbert was there to meet us at the station and whisked us away in his Mercedes to Eislingen. Gerd cooked dinner, A wonderful welcome to our time in Southern Germany.
