We have arrived in Banderwela in the midst of a shower. The only problem is that the shower has lasted for at least 24 hours. We had decided to come this time of the year to avoid such rain. Anyway such deficits in the weather are well compensated by our accommodation. We have come to Sri Lanka particularly to see Mary's cousin Rodney who lives here with his partner Eric. As well as other things, they run a couple of hotels which are very stylish. Where they are putting us up is set out in the 1930s style. Mary and Michael have been catching up on family history and viewing some old photographs.
I have had lots of problems trying to upload photos on to the blog. Any description I give would not adequately describe the level of luxury we are subject to. I'll keep on trying because the place is so beautiful.
