Wee bit of a layover in Ottawa

Parliament Hill

Parliament Hill

Well tomorrow I am off to NEPAL!!!

I have spent the last week here in Ottawa. And it has been grand, I stayed with the incredibly generous McArdles who fed me, drove me around and supplied endless encouragement for the monstrous task of packing. Was such a treat to stay with such lovely people.

The city itself leaves a bit to be desired. Sorry Ottawa but you are kind of boring. I did try to see as much as possible; again I walked EVERYWHERE. Saw Parliament, the Canal, Bank St., the Glebe, and perused the Museum of Nature.

I was super lucky to know some river staff that also wandered into Ottawa, so hung out with them for a bit and as usual we lit shit on fire.
Other than that it was a week of preparing for a year long stint aboard.
Oh and packing has to be one of my least desired tasks!

Talk to you in NEPAL!
