My name is Jennifere Thompson and I am passionate about photography and travel with my camera overseas and within Australia. I am currently touring country Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia vineyards, and their remarkable landmarks. While touring I realized that I don't really need to travel too far to find interesting subjects to photograph. So far I have found amazing colours in flora and fauna, as well as interesting places to capture in my photographs. I take a journey that will tell a story, portray a feeling, place, time, or a change in season. My photographs are of scenery taken at a vineyards and surrounding areas. I have viewed the trees by the water at a Winery, where the air is cooling during the day, and the vineyards are becoming dormant as the season changes, but not so the beauty and colours of the trees. Another photograph at a vineyard in South Australia will show an old broken building , forlorn and sad. But to me it is still beautiful and exciting, not just brick and mortar taken by time. My photograph of geese in a vineyard shows the flock marching in front of their vineyard, the protectors of growth, I dared not to get any closer, as they hissed fierce and proud, regardless of time or season the geese continued strutting back to their shaded spot. I travelled the Adelaide Hills in South Australia, on the way to the vineyards I came across a gigantic tree which had an abundance of history. I wanted to show the tree reaching for the sky, something that doesn't change as time always does. This is what I want to tell in my photography, that time might change, but there is always something beautiful and as long as I can learn something new each day, I can pass it on to others, and be part of time captured.
