The alluring scent of incense is never too far when wandering through the streets and mountains of Taiwan. This is a reminder of the honorable culture that exists within Taiwan.

Taiwan celebrates the Tomb Sweeping Festival each year in April. On this day, families gather together to clean around the tombs of their ancestors. A huge evening feast follows the yearly ritual.

The ever-busy Longshan temple prepares food such as pomelo, rice and moon cakes to be shared with the long-passed ancestors so they aren't left hungry in the afterlife. It is not uncommon to see this ritual outside of residential homes and businesses.
