It's been a few days since my last blog and far to much to go over now or even recall as things are a bit blurry right now. Yesterday was just amazing. No words or pictures would do it justice. Yes, I did manage to get tickets, as did everyone else. What I paid was worth it and what a comeback from the Aussies.
We were bused in Kaiserlautern in the morning and got started in the main street. We were drinking not far from where Ken Sutcliffe did a cross back to Australia. Also saw Reg Regan stumble past. Saw plenty of people I knew and the chanting was in full swing. We belted out a couple of renditions of Waltzing Matilda for a german TV crew and a radio station from Melbourne.
It was a sea of Gold that marched up the hill to the stadium chanting all the way. The stadium was a great football stadium and the view awesome. Hopefully I'll post some photo's soon.
Leave for Munich tomorrow and can only imagine what it will be like. From what I can see on the net, everybody is going wild back home. Good to see.
